Today we're getting a new roof. It's weird being inside the house with all that going on.

What is this about?
My everyday has a soundtrack, whether or not anyone else can hear it. Just like the song in my head changes day by day (sometimes minute by minute!), so do the things going on in my life and the lives of my children and husband. I hope to share some of those songs and happenings here.

That's funny what you said about it being annoying to read but more so to be in the middle of it. That gives your readers a really clear picture!
